Relational support for families navigating emotional and behavioral complexity

— a compassionate + embodied approach to Occupational Therapy that moves beyond contemporary and mainstream models of health.

Parenting is devotion in the midst of storms.

It’s love that won’t quit, even when you’re exhausted, ashamed, or afraid you’re failing.

When behaviour feels like a mystery you can’t solve, it’s easy to feel lost.

You are not alone here.

Who is this for?

This work is for families who feel like they’ve tried it all —
rewards, routines, consequences, therapy, charts —
and still nothing seems to help.

You may have whispered:
“Why can’t they just listen?”
“I don’t recognise myself in these moments.”
“Am I failing them?”

You might even be standing at the edge of considering medication —
or wondering whether to wean off —
and this feels like a last resort.

You’re not here for another technique.
You’re here because something deeper is asking to be met — in you, and in your child.

This work is for families who want to:

  • Decode behavior as communication, not defiance

  • Build connection where there’s been struggle

  • Find safety in the emotional storms

  • Move beyond reaction and blame

  • Hold their child — and themselves — with compassion and presence

How does it work?

In this space, we slow down and begin again.
We meet the child, the parent and the relationship between you.

Behaviour is explored not as a problem to fix,
but as communication to be understood.
Together we build language, tools, and ways of relating that creates more partnership and less power struggle.

Sessions may include:
– Relational repair between the parent and the child, and within the parent
– Nervous system education + co-regulation support
– Emotional decoding — what’s really beneath the behaviour
– Parent - led, Play-based inquiry
– Somatic processing for parents and children
– Parent–child interaction support
– Inner child work for parents, to deepen understanding
– Attachment- pattern awareness and boundary repair
– Art, movement, and subconscious exploration
– Values-based goals that grow with your family

You’ll leave with practical tools, yes — but more importantly, a deeper awareness:

  • That your presence matters more than perfection

  • That your child is not giving you a hard time, they’re having one

  • That healing the home begins with creating safety within yourself

What This Is Not

Therapy for your child.

A diagnostic assessment.

A shortcut, generic program or a sticker chart.

What This Is

A space for connection, repair and nervous system safety.

Slow, relational work of co-regulation.

Support for building healthy attachment patterns across the whole family.

What is Holistic OT

Most people know Occupational Therapy as task-based support and functional equipment. What’s less known is that OT was originally created after World War I as a trauma-responsive discipline — rooted in meaning, creativity, community, and healing.

Veterans weren’t given worksheets.
They were invited into basket-weaving, art, and shared rhythm.

Not just skills for life —
but practices that re-wove belonging.

Somewhere along the way, that wisdom was lost.

Holistic Occupational Therapy reclaims that original intent.

Drawing on occupational therapy, somatic psychotherapy, trauma-informed care and relational dynamics, this work supports families to:

  • Foster nervous system integration and emotional attunement

  • Navigate stress and big feelings with more steadiness

  • Nurture meaningful relationships through presence and play

  • Honour the mind, body, spirit, and environment as interconnected

  • Cultivate rhythms of safety and belonging in the home

  • 'Bini has a unique way of highlighting the foundational mess that noone wanted to clean up. Through her gentle, calm and straight forward approach, we felt genuinely held and supported as we slowly made shifts in the way we related as a family. This included confronting habits that my husband and I really had to look at whether they were serving not just ourselves but our family unit.

  • We highly recommend the investment of time and finances to have Bini in your corner. She is phenomenal at the way she offers proposals for you consideration and awaits for you to be ready to take new action. Her understanding of creating emotional safety for children was also not expected and highly appreciated."

  • Lets face it, as parents we prioritise everyone else and their needs before we consider our own. Britt taught me that we can't fill from an empty cup and that prioritising your own wellbeing, that being in and enjoying the moment, is the important first step in excellent educator pedagogy.

    — Janelle, Mother + Education Leader

  • Bini has a soothing and calm demeanour reflecting peace into her practice. Her knowledge by far extends years of experience in working with children and families. She is truely a modern guru who graces us with wisdom and knowledge that can positively change the direction of education for the future.

    - Jane, Family of 4, Australia

  • Being the director of two small but busy preschools can be exhausting and all consuming. Brittany has supported me to gain perspective and to be mindful of my own wellbeing in realistic ways. She is wise beyond her years. I would highly recommend Brittany to anyone in a leadership role wanting to support their team or to anyone who is ready to take stock and make positive changes to enhance their work and their personal life.

    - Allyson, Mother + Preschool Director

  • We engaged Bini firstly to support our neurodivergent teen and the dynamics between their siblings. We soon realised our role in supporting the relationship between siblings and how everything we did as parents was contributing. Our Family has grown in kindness, understanding each others needs, we are more present with each other and actually more fun to be around. Bini is gentle but honest and undoubtedly committed. I big recommendation from our family to yours if you're desperate, as we were.

Are you willing to slow down — together?

Are you open to looking beyond quick fixes?
Are you willing to engage in work that is slower, integrated, and sustainable?
Are you open to cultivating safety and connection in your family, even when it feels unfamiliar?

If so — we begin here.

Together, we slow down.
We meet the child and the parent with care.
We begin to shape new ways of relating — rooted in presence, not perfection.

Here, you’ll find practical tools and language that make sense.
But more than that, you’ll find presence.

Presence that steadies the nervous system.
Presence that moves through blame without becoming it.
Presence that can hold the storm — without losing yourself inside it.

If you’re ready to explore a different way of being with your child, your family, and yourself —
I invite you to begin with an Inquiry Conversation.
